Altered Forms: Mugs Edition

Start with two pre-thrown cups and transform them into mugs with their own shape and character. Working with firm greenware, you’ll stretch, bend, carve, reshape, and add clay to alter each form, then design and attach handles to complete your mugs. At the end of class, choose from a range of studio glaze colors. We’ll glaze and fire your mugs, with finished pieces ready for pickup about three weeks later.

This workshop is a great introduction to working with clay and gives first-time potters plenty of room to make each piece their own.
